Education & Experience

After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in journalism, Lisa began honing her skills at a metro Detroit public relations agency where she held progressive positions of responsibility culminating in her role as vice president. She was responsible for designing and implementing strategic marketing plans for several of the agency’s largest accounts.

From there, she went to work for a market research firm as its director of marketing communications. She helped develop consistent branding across the company’s marketing materials; designed strategies to promote research products and managed media relations. Lisa also worked closely with an internal industry group to build and maintain a 25,000-member research panel; develop corporate and consumer websites; and produce marketing materials to promote its core product.

Write Brained

What Lisa loved most about her jobs was the writing. So, she packed up her experience and opened Write Brained to provide freelance writing Detroit-style, which prides itself on open, honest and clear communication. Since then, she has dedicated her time to listening to clients, identifying their core messages and providing high-quality B2B and B2C marketing and copywriting services.
